Created and Managing Indie Innovation - A Filmmaking Field Study

This program is an arts-entrepreneurship research and development project focused on independent film financing, marketing and distribution models.  Using the University R & D model, we will be producing, marketing, and distributing and independent feature film.  Through the process of making and exploiting the film, we will be studying the strengths and weaknesses of the convention model (the acquisition deal strategy) while researching and, hopefully, innovating new models with stronger value proposition for investors.

Producer and three-time Sundance winner Ted Hope has already conducted a class on best practices for independent filmmaking, using our screenplay, Car Dogs, as the case study.

Production financing is in place, pre-production classes have begun, and principal photography will commence this fall.  Marketing and distribution phases to begin shortly after.
